About this directory

Racehorse Trainers Australia is a directory of thoroughbred trainers and stables across every Australian state and territory — metropolitan, provincial and country.

The site was first compiled in the early 2000s by racing industry identity Robert Tweedie, who travelled the country photographing stables and recording trainers' details region by region. What you see today is a careful restoration of that archive: the original pages, photos and listings, rebuilt with modern web standards so the record stays available.

Use the map or the state links above to find trainers by region, or read our guide to choosing a trainer before you commit your horse to a stable.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Look at the stable's facilities, the trainer's record with your type of horse, how often they communicate, and where they race. Our guide to selecting a trainer walks through the questions to ask before you sign.

Every state and territory: New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory — split into metropolitan, provincial and country racing regions.

This is a restored historical archive of the original directory, first published in the 2000s. Trainers move, phone numbers change and some stables close — treat the listings as a starting point and confirm details directly with each stable.

Use the contact button below and send your stable name, region and contact details. The site owner will get back to you about adding or correcting a listing.

A profile in this directory puts your stable in front of owners looking for trainers in your region — exactly what this archive was built for.
